Llondel Leonbergers

We first discovered Leonbergers when we saw one in Cambridge UK several years ago. Most Leo owners have been on one side, if not both sides, of the conversation of "what breed of dog is that?" A bit of research later and we were on a waiting list for a puppy. Tesla was born in January 2013 and came to live with us a few months later.

We moved from the UK to the US in 2014 and have settled in San Jose, California. Tesla passed all her health checks and as a European dog with an excellent temperament, we considered her a useful addition to the local Leo gene pool. She was never shown before breeding due to all our travelling but her parents and several of her siblings have done well in UK shows, appearing at Crufts.

She was mated with Bogey, aka CH BellaWood 'Ere's Lookin' At You and gave birth on 24th October 2016. She had four puppies, two boys, two girls

Tesla was mated with Rubus, aka GCH Irresistible Force Von Alpensee CGC and had another four puppies, three boys and a girl on 5th December 2017.

We kept one puppy from each litter, Faraday from the first, Kepler from the second.

Faraday was mated with Henry, Bluebonnet's Patent Pending of TippingPoint, and gave birth to her puppies on 4th May 2020.

In May 2021, Faraday was mated with Perrin, Lowenhohle's Magical Phalin Perrin, and produced a litter of puppies on 10th July 2021.

In February 2022 Faraday was mated with Murphy, Blarney’s Brave Lionheart V. SanftenLoewen, her puppies were born on 21st April 2022.

We returned to Henry when it was time to breed Kepler, and their puppies were born on 22nd December 2022. We kept one puppy from this litter, Cassini.

We do show our dogs at various shows, mostly in California, although Kepler did make a road trip to the East Coast for Westminster 2021 and another trip for the AKC Nationals in Florida in December 2021. Faraday and Cassini had a trip to the LCA Nationals in Illinois in 2023 and then on for Faraday's Westminster appearance ten days later. They have also done other activities, Tesla was a therapy dog, while Faraday and Kepler have both had fun with FastCAT.

We currently have no further breeding plans.
